Callie Awakens just received a 1st Place, Best in Category, Clue Award for 2021!
I'm pleased to announce that my newest book, Callie Awakens is a First Place category winner for this years CIBA CLUE award for best new thriller/suspense novel for 2021. It is available on Amazon along with my Maelstrom series. I've almost completed Book II in the Callie series and hope to publish that in September, 2022. I put a lot of thought into Callie before I started writing her and planned it from the outset as a long series if readers support that with sales. Reviews and sales are closely tied. If you enjoy reading Callie Awakens, please leave a written review on Amazon and/or Goodreads. If you would like to be notified when Callie (Book II) is complete and available, subscribe to my email list at the bottom of this page.

About the Author

Picture

I grew up on the water in Marion, Massachusetts and spent summers sailing and boating in Buzzards Bay, The Elizabeth Islands, Cape Cod and Nantucket. Later in life I became a licensed Captain, operated the Cuttyhunk ferry, drove 100' high speed crew-boats in the oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico, ran large charter catamarans out of Key West for 6 years and a ferry in Boston Harbor. I also raced in the Marion to Bermuda race several times, made over 20 offshore passages between New England, Bermuda  and the Caribbean, cruised the Mediterranean and parts of the South Pacific and spent a year living on a classic wooden sloop in Antigua. I draw on this extensive experience for both inspiration and vivid realism in both the Maelstrom and Callie series.

I've lived in Florida since 1993 and in Sarasota, FL for the past 20 years with my wife Louise and our two black labs Emma and Asher.

In addition to my writing and boat deliveries I also make exquisite, custom, sculpted, rocking chairs out of figured hardwoods that sell for $5,000 - $30,000. Forbes FYI magazine said, "The end result is a named, numbered and signed work of very comfortable art."  www.parkerconverse.com
